How much water is there?
Although oceans cover most of the Earth's surface, there is actually
not much water available for humans to use.
You can see, in the first diagram of the figure at the right, that
only 3% of the water is freshwater.
In the middle graph, you can see a diagram dividing up that 3%
freshwater into groundwater, glaciers and icecaps, and other sources.
The "Other" section of the second diagram is shown in
the third diagram, where you can see where the rest of the freshwater
is located- in the atmosphere, soil, lakes or rivers.
