There are many conservation techniques that can be used to keep dune ecosystems healthy:

Be careful where you tread.

Use designated pathways and boardwalks.

Keep a safe distance from wildlife.

These beautiful plants help stabilize the dune sand and create a healthy ecosystem:

Dwarf Lake Iris, Beach Grass, Dune Lily, Houghton's Goldenrod

Dune Locations

There are many beautiful viewing areas to see Michigan dunes and all they have to offer:

Numerous dunes located in state parks along Lake Michigan.
