Incandescent Bulbs

The four basic lighting types include incandescent, fluorescent, high-intensity discharge, and low-pressure sodium. Incandescent and fluorescent are the common types used in a home. Try to think of all the incandescent bulbs used in your home. We will use this number later in the module.

Lighting accounts for 5 to 10% of the energy used in the home.
