Home Energy Use

Michigan homes consumed 34,336,161 Megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity in 2002. Although transmitted electricity is a very convenient way to provide energy to a home, it is also inefficient. 7.2% of the electricity produced in the US in 2003 was lost between the power plants and the final users. Its convenience and current infrastructure, however, will guarantee electricity delivery to homes far into the future. Try to think of all the different ways you use electricity in your home.
