There are a variety of ways in which we heat and cool our homes, heat our water, and provide power for our appliances and entertainment. Some homes use several energy sources to provide for their needs. These two maps show how much energy is consumed and available to Michigan homes. The next few pages will also discuss the common home energy sources used in Michigan, including:
