Heating a home can sometimes use almost half of its energy budget, especially in colder areas such as Michigan. Most homes use a single heat source, such as a natural gas furnace, and a series of ducts to distribute hot air through the home. Some homes, however, use geothermal or passive solar energy to heat their home. Do you know what keeps your home warm in the winter?
