| In 1999, according to the Michigan Recycling Coalition (MRC): Michigan Recycling Rate = 20% of total municipal waste Great Lake States Recycling Rate = 26% of total municipal waste The Michigan rate is equivalent to each resident recycling 1.4 lbs. of their municipal waste per day. Michigan has some work to do to catch up to our neighbors though. |
