Research and Teaching Interests
Dr. Budd’s research focuses on the application of remote
sensing techniques for large lakes and inland seas. She is a regional leader
in developing high quality limnological remote sensing products for the
Great Lakes and has served as co-principal investigator or project director
for more than $2 million in extramural research supported by the National
Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and
the Michigan Sea Grant College Program. She has authored or co-authored
14 papers in the peer-reviewed scientific literature and advised 4 M.S.
and 1 Ph.D. research theses. Dr. Budd teaches courses in limnological remote
sensing, global climate change, and environmental science.
